Hi all, my name is mike

I am new here and i'm happy to have found this site. I hope that my build can lend to a bit of creativity, as I have picked up many ideas on this site and many others along the way.

I have an 81 Kawasaki ltd 750. it's in great shape. just needs the carbs done and a title.
the plan.. full tear down and rebuild to Bratstyle bobber.

This is my first ever build. And i have learned much along the way.

This is the bike.
$450 and a handshake, no title and it's mine...

A few months later and a lot of paper work. I have a fresh Title in my name. It's officially mine. But I have still yet to hear it run.

Progress..

A bit more work on the frame and it's back to the bench for a mock up.

Getting a better look at where i am going with all this..

Then I decided to pull the wiring apart and go for a quick attempt at routing.... This went Ok,, but not well.

I found this to be interesting. But it didn;t do me much good.

Anyway, Rats nest anyone?

more mess..

It was on this day That I decided to forgo the wiring and get back to the build.. as for the wiring, I'll Burn that bridge when I cross it..

Enough wiring talk. It's making me sick just thinking about it.

So moving on with my build. I Get back to pulling things apart.

Checking out the carbs... thse need a cleaning since they havnt been used in about 15 years.

i'm thinkin about usin somethin like these Dirt bike Brake units.. But i don;t know if it's powerful enough for the job yet.

When I pulled the old one apart. it looked like Apple sauce inside.

Ah shit. Random Piniata party with my lil bro for hi birthday.

So after a trip to Wal-mart and a few bonghits I got to painting. and assembling. And this is what I came up with..

Ass shot..

Not a bad profile.

The engine cleans up real nice.

Well, I hope you like it.. Because I didn't...

After much thought I went back to the drawing boards..

So i decided to Cut off the ass end And Properly hard tail it.

And As of this week, This is where it sits.

Thank god it's winter. Having this apart this far again in the summer would be killing me.

The tape on the back tire is giving a kewl "Motion" Effect.

And Finally, Since I just had to see what it looked like with the engine in.. I photo Chopped my Chop.

And i Had to rep the "Chopperweb" Aswell.

I hope you have enjoyed my Chop in progress. I will post updates as I have them.

For the front brake it might be a good idea to get a dual disk master cylinder which ought to have a bigger bore than the single disk. The underside of the stock master cylinder may have 5/8 cast into it - 5/8 is ~16mm.
