Slipping the carbs back in.

I've taken out/put in, carburetors from different bikes, but this 1981, kz750, ltd is driving me nuts. I had to leave it today. I can't get the carburetors in without pushing the air box boots back into the air box. Anyone have a good technique for making this easy?

the easist way is to push the boots back into the airbox then warm them up a bit with a heatgun to make them more pliable and easier to work with.

Yeah the only way I know is pushing the boots into the airbox.

If they are pliable do this, if not get new boots.

Thanks for all of the help. My boots weren't pliable enough to roll over, but pushing them back into the airbox halfway worked out better. But I will remember that trick too.
I lubricated the boots a little with some dish soap to make them move better and it worked. Not a lot of fun either way but it worked out.
One thing that didn't work was putting the boots all of the way into the air box. that first opening that goes over the carburetors does not want to go through the box when working from one side.
