this is my 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 streefrighter project. I have spent years doing a little work at a time while enjoying riding and raceing it at the drag strip when ever i can find time. The motor had a Wiseco 1075 piston kit installed many years back. the head was freshed up five years ago. the crank has been welded.trans has been backcut. the carbs are a set of 34mm cv's with pod filters. i installed a Dyna s ignition along with a set of Dyna 3.0 ohm coils last year. i aslo am runing a Dyna drl-400 two step for the fun days at the track. for the header i am using a Vance&Hines 4-1 upswept header. the complete front end on this bike is off a 2005 Kawasaki ZZR1200(forks,tripples,brakes,wheel,controls,ect...)chrome head light unit and custom light brackets. gauges are stock KZ gauges. the rear swingarm is a custom swingarm 6 inches over stock and has a 17 x 5.5 Suzuki gsxr1100 rear wheel mounted with the gsxr1100 brake system. there is a custom chaingard being used from a 1200 bandit. the rear fender and tail piece has be pushed back to keep the stock KZ body lines. both of the lips on the front and back wheels have been polished out along with the rear brake arm, some of the engine covers, bottom tripple tree. the bike is set up for a 530 drive chain. i am runing a 5/8 offset sixteen tooth front counter shaft sprocket and a fourty six tooth rear sprocket.z1900 body and tank. other than my little girl this bike is my pride and joy. it was passed down to me by my father. i purchased this bike for my father when i was sixteen years old because i seen how heart broken he was that he crashed and burned his first kz1000 a few weeks earlier. this bike is more to me than just a bike... it like a member of the family and thats were it will stay.

Welcome back, Rattler.

Nice work. Very nice. :)
