Well the Header, is on it's way back from Performance Coatings in Seattle. Got a ceramic coat of black, with the silencer getting a coat of what they call "satin titainium".

The two Chain rollers for the upper engine mount are getting made today I hope.

Friday we got the right side shock bracket done with good results. However, I must have overlooked the left side. Now I need a second bracket to move the left swingarm shock mount. I guess thats Engineering change request number.....dam where's the log?? I have lost track now:P

I was starting to think in a couple weeks the thing would be on the track, not so sure now. A bit of a set back. Ed the magicical machinist is making the second mount. I will be in debt to him, which means more Honda 90 work, scheduled in front of the KZ. Ed is a Bicycle builder first, Motorcycle helping Ted second. I just dam glad he is helping.

I sepnt about a day looking at the stock mounting of the coils. The aftermarket coils get the spark plug nipples jammed into the frame, when you bolt them on the stock brackets. Nobody likes they nipples jammed.

So I made a set of brackets out of 1/8" aluminum, the brackets are bolted to the stock mounting holes. The coils sit on top of the brackets, horizontal like.

Now the nipples just stick out in the free air...ahhhh. Kind of like Berkley in the early 70's.

Sort of stealing your topic a bit, but for those that have installed aftermarket swingarms, are your shocks spread farther apart at the arm mounts then at the frame mounts? Just like tk11b40 shows, how much difference have you run into? Looks like most aftermarket arms or OEM arms being used with wider tires would have to have the shocks tilted out at the arm mounts. What have you run into? Now....back to the original topic!
