just took the engine apart yesterday. Split the cases :woohoo: :woohoo: that was my first time   I was sweating it (read a thread from oldkaw man where he cracked the case), but everything went well :cheer: Only one 6mm bolt broke, one from the starter. Now I have to figure out how to get the cases clean, they are really :( :(

Ok, now it's time to start measuring everything. do u have a set of Vernier calipers? i see your clutch basket there ,u should check to see if the springs in the back are flopping around. they should be tight. if not u will need to replace them or send it out.
I just found that the bushing that the baskets needle bearing rides on is out of spec. I noticed that my basket would tip from side to side on the end of its shaft. i took it all apart and measured the bushing, sure enough it was at the end of the measured spec range. they don’t make them anymore so i had to find a good used one.
U have a long road ahed bro. We're here for u.
Good luck. Mark.B)
