pulled rims and having new skins put on in next day or two.....went with c/s hi max.....should be o k for my style of riding....i dont think they would be my first choice if i was trying to brake at the last minute and drag a knee into turn 3......my battle-axes were starting to dry rot/slit and they were getting hard....80 bucks for 2 new skins?...no brainer....doing a little clean/up
and scoping things out while its apart.....

just an update for those with any interest...had a new clutch set/springs on shelf for months...threw that in
and with the new cable, pushrod, lever and adjuster i had...what a difference....the old stuff wasnt toast, but it now releases where it should and shifts are a lot smoother....had a spare hour this am and drained fork oil and put in fresh and new proggressive springs i had hanging around since last summer....po had dropped front end down 2" and i put it back up....aside from dialing in bs34 s, i m pretty much done and now am going to enjoy the fruits of my labor and the depletion of my wallet... ...many thanks to everyone here for their help and input....could nt have done it without KZRIDER..!!!.....time to ride untill something
breaks...
