Z1100 A3 was created by Tommotbird
I just collected this Z1100 that I bought on Ebay from South Wales here in the UK. It is in overall pretty good condition but the thing that attracted me to it was the conversion to fuel injection (from a GPZ1100 I believe). I have only ridden about 10 miles on it so far, it feels pretty good but I can't tell yet whether the performance is any different to my carburated A2's

That's interesting...when you get a chance, could you post some detailed photos of the FI system? I'm actually surprized that no one had converted any 1100's years ago.

Put foam or some other vibration absorbing material under that computer, vibration will destroy it if you don't.

It looks like the stock system in a 82 GPZ1100 (I have one). As the man said you need vibration isolators for the FI computer or it's going to quit.

Yeah, I have a KZ1100B2 also, but the A1/2 FI systems also resemble the B2 system...Tommotbird has me thinking:)

Hi Thanks for the vibration warnings, I will do something about it at the weekend, the computer is resting on the plastic inner fender at the moment so it his not getting a completely solid ride. I have a problem anyway as it is not firing on No 2 cylinder, it has new plugs fitted but I need to whip out no 2 plug to check what is going on. I have a set of Dyna wires to fit. I haven't ridden many miles but I would have thought that if there was no spark at all in No 2 that the unburned fuel would have detonated in the muffler. In which case it could maybe be a blocked injector
