my 1977 kz650b-1 rebuild roject

so after a year and a half i got my 650b-1 engine rebuilt and put back toghther.

i just wired it all up and need a battery and few other little things, but i thingk shes ready to get on the road soon!
i need to fill oil up and clean carbs one more time, and finish putting chassis parts on and it does need a paint job, but thats only looks! she will be kind of a sleeper bike (dont look to good now) i hope i can get it done this week and start riding next week after i get my insuarance going

I am just amazed how many KZ650-B1's show up here... and here I thought they were relatively rare. Go figure. :huh:

I'm using the same approach as you. Get it to work, get it to work reliably then work on the looks. This year I think I've reached the reliability stage... lots of riding compared to wrenching.

This winter, funds permitting, the face lift.

I'm really looking forward to seeing where you go with this project... any chance of saving the original paint?

KZ650 B1, B2 are my favorite of the KZ series. I just love the spoked rims.
