1980 KZ440 B1. Restored and modified over a couple of winters and for less than $2k (bike included).

Where did you get the hardtail from? And the tank,where is it from? How did you mount it?Over all nice job!! I'm stiil deciding on a vintage 750 twin road racer or a bobber. I like both,but only one bike. Decisions,decisions.:unsure: :unsure:

1980 kz1000g 1105 34mm Mikuni flat slides Kerker exhaust custom paint stock ignition(Dyna 2000 soon) Accel coils and wires stock cams w/ heavy springs for more rpm. My 2nd 1000.

The frame is 1" tube kit I got off Ebay for xs650's. I mitered and notched to fit the KZ frame. Most everything is from ebay or Z1 Enterprises. The tank is a 2.8 gal mustang tank that has the perfect tunnel depth and width. It just bolts right through the backbone with a couple of rubber gaskets I made for in between.

I think the tube (which was pre-bent) cost me $90 and the tank was $79.

I plan on either doing a true restore or a cafe next winter. It depends on what I find for a donor.
