That's a fantastic job! My kinds of mods. Looks like you addressed the poor fitment of the Kerker exhaust. I see that you have rear-sets, and I'm sure the poor fitting Kerker looked even worse when you put your rear-sets on. Where did you modify your pipe to make it fight so well?

Thanks, Bad Kaw. Yeap, tried to fit the Kerker as close and as short as possible. The headers are a one-off by a pro shop and the new fitting was actually my own work, then a welder just tagged it for final checking and welded it.

Rear pegs have a "stealth" mount brackets behind frame tubes under side covers. Rarely have them on since wifey doesn´t wan´t to ride on same bike.

Z1000R ´83...Slightly modified...

Oh-ho, very cool...very, very cool! When summer gets here (2 more weeks for me!) I should have a running start on finishing mine...please, don't mind that it will be very similar in apprearence to yours...Kerker 'fitment' included! :)

She looks beautties.The pipe does fit very nice now. what was the pipe in v1.2? i liked the way it bent gently around the motor.more of a hand bent look.hows the motor leak now?

Mark1122: I´ve no idea of brand of the v1.2 headers, sorry. It had a very stupid angle coming from under the engine to the side. It was the first spot to touch when cornering.

Oil leaks are just fine. Never ending story:P Just leaking from other spost nowadays.

Z1000R ´83...Slightly modified...
