My project/commuter

This thread is to essentially see if I am able to download the pics, wish me luck.

This is my commuter bike that I got about 16 months ago.

When I got it it had been crashed and was in a state of repair, and still is.

Two months ago I laid it down on its right side and did all sorts of damage to it. I had pics, but I lost/replaced my phone so I have no record of the crash to show. Unfortunate.

Hey I got it to work. This pic shows the damage to the seat corner and the muffler. (I have the tail and the side covers on the ground Freshly primered in front of the bike. The sideways pic was too big for the site to accept it....

This is a shot of the area that got hit. I just got the new ins. cover painted, and the headlight ring shows damage that I had pounded out.

I painted the headlight bucket, re-bent the handlebars (wanted to keep the handle heaters) rebuilt the brake res and system, lever and rear-view, and that is the color of paint that I have chosen.

Can you tell that I had ripped the entire ignition off of the bike, along with some of the block?

I could have added another layer of JB Weld to fill in the fine cracks, but I was more interested in testing if it would work, and riding the bike again. Otherwise, you would have to look to find the 4 square inches or so of block that was missing.

I used a cork gasket that is starting to deform on me. I thought to use the cork because I was not sure how flat I would be able to get the repair, and I did not want to have the cover push/break off the JB Weld.

I decided to paint the fender as well. I would start painting it with the color, but I gotta ride it to work tonight. I will wait for my mid-week week-end.

I also plan to paint the wheels and the forks...

Well now that I know I can get the images online...

Say does anyone know how to do the multiple pics? I tried and it seemed to switch to the last image loaded. I had 5 of the same pic the first time I tried.

I can't see where the damage was on the engine. The repair came out well.

Can't see your rust either, but I know how rust likes to hide in pictures. My bike has it's share as well.

To do multiple pix, I use photobucket.com, and paste the links in my post. You can add lots of pix this way in a single post.

Ok, It only took me three tries to get it, but I am happy with the results. Once again sorry for the lack of before pictures, but such is life.
