Just out of curiousity (I don't own a KZ750) What is the large round hole in the bottom of this tank?

Neither my 1980 or 1981 KZ750 LTD tanks have this big hole so I dunno ... probrably a fuel gauge hole .... my LTD's only has a fuel low sensor for the idiot light and not a gauge.

I've pulled apart and checked the forks from the parts bike and from my bike and the forks from my bike are straighter and in much better condition !!! So I'm gonna use the originals. The lower triple clamp from my bike is the part that bent !!!! I'll be using the lower triple clamp from the parts bike along with a new set of roller bearing in the steering stem. Project is coming along nicely ... but I hate waiting for parts !!!!B)

I have a tank from a 1983 KZ750L which has the same hole. It is for a fuel level guage. The GPZ models had them too. You can find them on eBay. Or, just blank it off.

This is what I do for fun, not for work. It is art, with a little engineering thrown in.
