First the history

I recently bought 2 1981 kz 750s. One of them was running and had 77k on it the other was not running but the engine only has 8k. And the one with 8k had a 4 into 1 ehuast (cafer racer project?) I just bolted in the 8k engine into the nicer frame... i process of figuring out what is up with the compression.

Now the question: Is there a safe way to lower the bike further to the ground? I wanted to fix this bike up for a friend but he is kind of short and cant get his feet down on the kz. IF there isnt a safe way I was thinking about making it into a cafe racer and am upen to any suggestions with that project.

Thanks

You should be able to slide the forks up about an inch to lower the front, and you can probably put one inch shorter shocks on the rear, but watch the tire/fender clearance.
