...would you ride it around a track like this? Bogging in the corners, and riding it that slow? I know bash me because I haven't been out on a track yet, but tell me you could ride that bike better than he is?

Sorry if I ofended anyone here if it's you.

That about covers it all.

Oh no. Just saying I could probably, maybe, ride that track a little faster than that guy, couldn't you, even if it's just a little faster? B)

you have to take in the fact that the camera is mounted high so he doesnt appear to be driving fast, i think he was doing just fine.

also that bike had a turbo, listen for the blowoff valve when he shifts ;)

Never been on a track either but looked and sounded like he backed waaaay off before the corners and then kinda bogged coming out of them?

This may be relevant:

I used to ride a 440LTD when I was fresh out of high school. It was more than ten years later (this spring) when I decided to fall in love with bikes all over again.

After 10 years of BMX and skateboard the bike was kind of scary.

We have a road here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that leads from Marquette to Big Bay that is decently paved and LOTS of turns. BTW if anyone wants to come up and ride.. Maybe next year.

My first ride this spring on my Suzi GS550E was scary. 40mph around the corners. White knuckles. Riding the center line.

My aggressive personality had me up and running in no time. After 1,000 miles or so on the 550 I picked up a 1978 KZ1000. Now I run about 60 through the whole thing and am not afraid to gas it up to 80-90 on a decent stretch or two through there. I'm thinking about getting a helmet radio because commuter driving is getting so very easy.

I'm guessing that this guy was just a commuter with an opportunity to take a run on that track.

How many of you would jump at the chance to run a few hours on that track? I would! :woohoo:

BTW check out that downhill slow-down/right turn @1:44 of the second video. I was missing a fingernail & fingertip for a whole summer a few years back due to a turn like that on my BMX...
