I might have a new bike thursday (PIC) UPDATE

Thanks Barney for the compliment. I have to say though that of all the KZ's I own that 750 is my least favorite, I just hate those low handlebars. I'm probably the only guy here that likes the mini-apes though so to each his own I guess. That bike does run like a scalded dog though.

I went and picked it up. It has REALLLLLLY tall shocks on it. It looks like it was knocked over and the ignition cover is gone the cases cracked. Bummer. Oh well I need to tear it down anyway so I might as well fix it all this winter. I pulled over to check everything before hitting the freeway and found the tail piece was broken at both mounts so I'll have to replace it and the left sidecover is messed up. the front fairing has a crack in it but will be easy to fix. It has braided lines on it and the frame is straight. the tank is good, the tires are good, the wheels and brakes look great. The PO did cut the levers off so those need to be replaced. I might have the head off this weekend to see what the hell is going on in there. the guy I got it from said he switched the cams and it woulod not run after that. I asked if he heard the valves hit the pistons and he said no. He told me he used the starter when he got it back together and didn't hear anything strange but who knows. He also gave me a new gasket kit and some othe small stuff. I'm hoping he is just a dumbshit and missed something when putting it back together. I'll have some pics up on Friday or saturday.
