I just logged on to post before and after pictures of my project but I made the mistake of looking at some of the other projects - now I feel like a real piker. Anyway, here is the before shot. The good news is that I don't have much more than twice what it's worth in it!

Thanks, yes the mufflers are a little loud but not quite straight through. The paint was worst part - first done by an independent painter/powder coater using Color Rite Kawasaki green that just wouldn't go on right. I ended up having a body shop redo the whole thing.

Solid, strong bike. Looking mighty fine and should run forever.

Front fender really lightens look of front end. Wheels (media blasted??) also clean and very nice looking, as are the polished cases.

Glad the air shocks were kept. And appears turn signals were added.

Recalling KZ1100 is super-smooth on the road with effortless cruising at most any speed, even loaded with gear and passenger. And very decent mpg to boot.

A toast to you! :)

Thanks Patton. The wheels were glass bead blasted and clear powder coated. I like the look of the front fender but also had a GPZ1100 front fender painted to match in case I want something with more coverage. I haven't really had it on the road yet - missed the clerk's office by 2 minutes last Friday and the steering bearings and front tire were in too bad shape to really ride it before I took it apart.

Hey thanks, Bad Kaw. I didn't start out to do so much, I just bought it because I saw it on eBay with some bad pictures and thought if I just took some better pictures and maybe washed it I could make a little money. But one thing led to another and pretty soon it was all over the garage floor. I guess at some point I decided I really liked the bike and decided to keep it. It runs well except for a slight backfiring problem while going at a constant speed. I'm going to adjust the valves and sync the carbs and see how it does.
