Hope the pictures post OK

Here's my 88 KZ1000P. Was used as a Park Ranger bike and then sat for a long time. Bought it last summer and enjoyed a few hundred miles of riding. New chain, sprocket and pads to start. Took it apart over the winter and just blasted and painted the frame and swingarm. Has good compression but needs new gaskets, etc. Will keep this post updated.

Cool man! I seen some dudes do some sweet work on these police bikes that I never would have imagined. You gonna keep the paint colors? I think they look nicer then the standard balck and white. Gives it some character!

I am considering a silver gray color scheme with a black stripe and white pinstripe. At least that's what I'm thinking this week. Once this one is done (Lord willing) I'd like to do one in an army camo motif.

Painted frame with rear wheel, shocks from an '01, and caliper holder. Next step is to replace brake lines with stainless, paint caliper and replace pads.

Cleaned and painted rear caliper,installed new pads, installed stainless brakeline..coming along slow but sure

outlined black on fender with white and clearcoated. cleaned up front forks, replaced wheel bearings and installed front fork assembly. next..front brakes...

Not really feelin' the caliper.

Like the paint scheme though.

i'd go with silver or black. that fender is WICKED! keep that paint scheme, it rocks!

going to paint or beadblast that motor, or anything like that?
