I've done several research papers on octane rating. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and run 87-89 octane. You're not going to have to worry about detonation with a 9:1 motor. With higher octane you're more likely going to make less power than with 87-89 since the flame front might not reach every part of gasoline before the exhaust valve starts opening.

The higher octane is fine in the ZX6 since they run 11:1 or higher CR.

I got the bike on the national dyno.. i think the dyno (pro) reads a bit low for obvious reasons.. i was able to get the bike to 70.6hp with the airbox, 117.5 mains and no air filter. i will probably go down to 115s and put the air filter back in.

bike needs a rounder front tire and 1 or 2 teeth up on the back sprocket..

the exhaust worked great i put a baffle out of a yosh rs-3 inside and packed it pretty good with old fiberglass.

I beat a few SVs

I second the images...looked great!

I had to remove MY caliprs,and hang them(at a different angle) to ge the air out.It worked great.

Great pix, glad to how good it's working. Keep kicking ass on those newer bikes.
