I have posted a few pics of my project build. I decided to go for the streetfighter look with this bike. A little something for country road wheelie practice. The pica are on my myspace page. Here is a link should anyone be interested. I bought a good motor and carbs off E-Bay & just won a 1981 GPZ550 fairing (no pics yet). I will be posting pics as I go along. Tomorrow I will put some current ones up. I have the motor out and am working on getting all the bodywork off so I can get to work on it. I have access to a body shop, so cleaning it all up and painting it should be a breeze. More to come for those that are interested.

Hey Edgeman...you should be aware that the fairing you won (the 550) was actually the correct one for your bike (it is a 750/1100 fairing) and it was not a 550 fairing. I also was watching it but decided not to bid as there was no associated mounting hardware.

So that is a correct fairing for my bike huh? The listing said GPZ550. Well I suppose it is even better then if it is the correct one. Not that I am worried about it, as I do not plan on returning it to a stock condition. Oh no. This one I am going to have some fun with! I was not concerned with mounting hardware as that is something I can easily fabricate myself. Here is as far as I have gotten.

Got an e-mail today from the guy I bought the fairing from. I had asked him to send me the pics he had used in his auction so I might post them in my build folder. He said he couldn't do it and when I questioned why he couldnt do it, he told me I was being a dick. Not only that, he told me now he is going to hold back my shipment until at least Friday because I questioned him on this. Who is the dick here? Should any of you see items listed on E-bay by RMXGRAPHIX be wary.

Man he does sound like a dick. Wait till it's almost too late to leave feedback and then give him some crappy feedback.

Wow...what a sphinctor...I'll be watching for that guy. At least when you fill out the feedback thing they now have a thing that lets you rate him on his shipping and 4 or 5 other things and he can't see who said what about him...I'd nuke him there.

Do post up pics when you get 'em,,,this looks to be a "good un"!

Here is what I started with

Then to this

And finally to this. Rims go to the powder coater tomorrow. The frame I will sand and paint myself, maybe this weekend. Bodywork will be worked on here and there when I have time. I think I am getting the hang of the picture thing

I have more pics, but it is late and I need to get to sleep. Might put some up tomorrow.
