The picture quality lacks but what do you expect from a camera phone. Info, extended 3 1/2", Dyna ignition, Kerker 4-1 exhaust, pod filters, Drag bars, smaller turn signals, rattle can paint, removed front and rear fender, custom bracket for light and plate. The tank has a few dents from the po but I wanted to keep them. I wanted it to had a "Mad Max" feel to it.

Oh, this is my first post, been lurking/reading a lot, finally decided to post. I've done a lot of misc. maintenance and fixing thing that the po just did a hack job on. It has come along pretty nicely just waiting on my carbs to get back, then I will get some new tires for it. Anyone have some good suggestions?

Welcome to Kzr Josh.

Your bike looks very nice. It is good to see another old Kz brought back to life. I like the stealth look especially with the black header pipe.

On my bike I removed the rear fender as you did, as it gives it a nice clean look. You might want to keep that front fender handy though. Aside from protecting the rider and bike from getting covered in road grime it also acts as a structural member for the front forks to help keep them from flexing.

If you really like the stripped down look it might be worthwhile just keeping a small section of the fender to cross brace the forks.

Yeah, I'm probably going to cut the stock front fender down. I've got it marked just haven't had the time to borrow a cutting wheel. Thanks for comments, I've been working on it since March and hope to have it on the road by May.

Well, got my new plug wires in today from Z1, installed them, my painted front fender(until I cut it down). Got my carbs back and installed them along with my new pod filters. Now I just need to go get a battery tomorrow and some gas and she will be back on the road.

I think I see the original coils on your bike. Keep an eye on them. Mine took me all as season to troubleshoot and replace with Dynas (from Z1). Now its a powerhouse.

Best of success!

looks pretty coolio! a small tip on ur backfender... i found that when i bougt my bike (the previous owner didnt use a backfender) all the dirst and water from the back wheel got against the brakelight and destroyed it. So i got my hands on a original fender (those big scoops) and just took loads of it. Ill see if i can get a picture of it to show u.. Now the crap gets nicely diverted from hitting my wires over there.

1980 EU-z650 c4 one of the few C's around..

Welcome Josh.

Cool bike.
I have Bridgestone Spitfire tires on mine and have had no problems with them. Just what the dealer had in stock, but seem to be decent tires.

There was a Tire Poll is the Archive section, check it out.

Thanks for all the advise, I do have Dyna "Green" coils on the bike at the moment. Also, I have the plastic inner fender that I plan on cutting up and mounting to help keep some of the road dirt, etc. away from things of course you still won't be able to see it without looking under the tail.

Well, almost a month has gone by and I finally got to finish working on the bike. I finally got it running today after ~3hrs of trouble shooting some faulty wires. Now I need to figure out why my headlight won't come on and replace the top piece of the right controls(stupid me). I will post new pictures when I get a chance to snap a few.
