Nice bike there! B)

I can see that it's very shiney, and I know that it's painted black, but do you have any color pictures of it so we can better see all the detailing that you've done to it? :)

Thanks rstnick!

I registered for the N. America forum at www.tonup.com

It has regional clubs.
I want to check these out in person:

NorCal:

www.tonupnorcal.com/

Los Angeles:

www.thetonupclub.com/tonup_html/toup_all.html

Most of those guys have nortons, triumphs and other euro bikes. I'd love to show them what a KZ can do.

ZeeEuro, if my C2 wasn't in such nice stock condition, it would be getting that exact treatment. Nice job you've done so far and your plans for more changes are right in line with my thinking.
I'm now tossing around the idea of finding a faded/tattered (but low mileage) B or C to make into a cafe/rat racer. The BIG question, though, is if I find a suitable candidate, how can I conceal the whole project from SWMBO ???
Hmmmm....some cunning and deviousness is called for here...

KZ650C2 Stock/mint. Goes by "Ace".
H2A Built from a genuine basket case. Yes,it's a hot rod.
GT550A Stock/mint. Pleasant stroker.
2006 Bandit 1200S for easy LD rapid transit
Various H2 projects in the wings.

Hey, what's up DrWhizBang (Joey). Thanks for the compliment. Still waiting (anyday now) to pick up the x-piped baby of mine. just got my gixxer rearsets (going to be as sick as rstnick's)

H2RICK, i know what you mean when it looks so nice in stock that you don't even want to change any little detail. I got my bike as stock but dead, so instead of hunting for stock parts i went the lazy/easy way and decided to customize it. Then i learnt about the whole cafe racer movement and was instantly hooked.

You can get another B or C and conceal it. My Dad would still kill me if he knew that i ride but he's in for a surprise this summer: "Dad, im not a biker, i just like to work on them
B) "

I have to install these rearsets and a pair of black shocks (silver looks kinda cheap). Then i need to re-shape the bulky stock seat. I wouldn't get a cafe seat because it's a bit antisocial for me (no girl-space). So ill do a big seat for me and a thin passenger one extending onto the tail. I love the stock tail, would not trade it for the cafe tail. Especially with a GS swingarm, the wheel will appear longer and i dont like the chopped-off look.

Anyway, these are my thoughts at least for now. Later i will share my ultimate goal as far as look of the bike (secret for now). Thanks for the good words of encouragement. I get my inspiration from this forum and the incredible era that fuels our imagination from day to day.
