This is the bike that steell is holding onto for me. It's a 65 something or other. I'm hoping to have it totally restored by next spring to put in some shows next year. Parts are going to be a bitch but that's what makes it fun!

Old bikes are cool, no matter what they are ((even HD's)...it should be fun:) Check out www.vjmc.org some of those people might be enormously helpful.

I have the paperwork to sign up with them, I just need to get the bike here to find out what it is. :laugh:

With a half quart of oil and the boys lifting it up, I should be able to do a burn out with it! :laugh:

I don't know that having the bike there is going to help you identify it.
There is no tag on the steering head, and I didn't see a VIN number there either. The previous owner said that he thought it was a 1965 based on info he had found on the web.

I have read that the A1 250 (or possibly the W1) was the first bike Kawasaki sold in the US under their own name (in 1966), previous models were sold under the Omni (or something like that) brand.

I'll update as I discover more info.

It's still in my truck

It don't weigh much, but with all the snow we have had every little bit helps.

The secretary/office manager has been stuck in the office by herself for two days, she couldn't get out and no one could get in.
My nephew and I dug our way into the company's landfill to get the wheel loader to go dig her out, it took us 7 hours to drive it 2 miles because it kept jelling up. Temps were single digit and zero by the time we got done. I found out this morning that the police received 12 calls about us blocking the road because it was broke down, but they figured we had enough problems and never bothered us.

It was "NOT" a fun experience

Ok, but it's a Kawasaki, think they would be interested in helping?

I just realized that it does look like a Honda emblem on the fuel tank, but it does say Kawasaki in small letters at the top

Hey Steve thanx for the info. He had the vin # on the ebay listing and it had j1t something or other on it. I spoke with my trucker buddy and he has a friend that comes through that way all the time. I'll let you know when I can get it out of your truck. lol You might want to keep it in the bed to make it easier to get into the semi trailer.
