Hi,
I've been browsing this site since June. It has been a big help to me, and because of this site and a parts diagrams from kawasaki's website, I've been able to get my first bike working. THANKS!

Yeah, It's an LTD. The tank is off an '81 kz440, and I'm useing a seat from a honda (don't know the model). Also the LTD insignia was removed from the side covers when I got it.
It's great, this is my first bike.
I'm still having some issues w/ idle speed fluctuations. I think it's the timing, unfortunately I don't have a timeing gun. Nor would I know how to adjust it anyway (no manual), but so it goes...

Welcome plug. Yep, this is a great site and it's saved my bacon more than once. Regarding timing and a manual I think your bike is very similar to the 400 and you can find lots of stuff - maybe even a manual here www.kz400.com/index.html
Setting timing should not be difficult. I never (in the days when I had points) ever used a timing gun. It should be possible to do static timing using a 12V bulb and a few bits of wire. Trouble is I just can remember how exactly to do it but you may find out how at the 400 site.

Good luck .......and hows a bout those pics ?
