First of all... here she is.

I just was recently handed this bike. It has been in my family since it was new. My grandfather bought it in 76. He rode it for a few years, and then it would sit for a few years covered in his garage. Well, back in 2004 he gave it to my father. My father then pulled the whole thing apart and rebuilt it. The orginal color was a rootbeer color. Well, now that I have it. I want to get it running and back on the road. It has 10,255 original miles. I'm also intrested in finding some others in the Atlanta area.
I'm really glad that I found this forum.. :)

Your dad did a nice restoration job on your machine...nice that you know it's complete history being a family bike.
As per your other post, I'm sure with a little tlc and elbow grease, you will get her to run right. Stick to it and you'll get it figured out. Btw, if you don't have a factory service manual, you might should invest in one...well worth it for a bike that nice. :P

Very nice...when I visit Atlanta, can I come over and sleep in your garage? That is the cleanest floor I have ever seen:)

Absolutely beautiful!
And the fact that it's been passed down three generations makes it an heirloom. Maybe your kids will be riding it one day.

Hey sirkus,

Nice Bike, looks a little familiar. Mine's identical except that it was the green color instead of the brown.
Check it out:
