Welcome aboard. Trust me...you'll find plenty of help here. I'm a fairly new member meself and have gleaned a plethora from these guys already. Throw up some pics of your bike so we can see what you're dealin' with.

Here's what it looked like before I took it apart last night...

This thing is a mess... wiring was completely rigged and a lot of the parts were stuck in place instead of bolted or tied down but it did indeed run when I picked it up so it can't be too bad off.

Well, it doesn't look too bad, from the outside...if you haven't yet done it, buy a shop manual off of eBay. Given the choice, buy a KHI (Kawasaki Heavy Industries) first, then a Haynes, then a Clymer (my opinion only). You will be able to find Clymers pretty cheap, but you may be able to get a KHI from between US$10.00 and $30.00. The manuals are fairly straight-forward.:)
