Revisited the 1981 KZ750E... was created by Franklin
I bought a pearl blue metalllic 1981 KZ750 new in 1982. Dealer said it was custom paint, had lower handlebars, Kerker 4 into 1, pod filters and jetted, small fairing with pinstriping to match the rest of the bike. I was in the Air Force in southern California, didn't even own a car back then, rode the crap out of that bike year round. Retired now, been telling myself if I found another one in good shape for a decent price I'd get it. Well, picked up a silver 1981 with 20K miles on it last Wednesday. Extremely clean but has been parked for 11 years. Will post pictures soon and likely will ask for advice to get it running again.

Welcome Franklin. I'd love to see pics of your 750.

if you need a service manual then from the home page click on the Articles tab then service manuals and download the one for the gpz750 (125MB).

Tried to post a picture but didn't seem to be working, maybe I need a second post approved before I can do that. On other forums I am able to just copy and paste BB code from Flickr into the text area. Does that work here?

Wow!  You found a real creampuff there!  There are quite a few 750 guys kicking around here, like me, and I'll be looking forward to watching your rehab project!

Hi Franklin,
Welcome to KZR! That's a fine 750 you have there.
Regarding posting pictures we'd prefer that you just attach them here rather than link a pic from an external source. That's not a requirement but rather something we've learned over the years as other threads suffered when external links become unavailable or otherwise just expired. KZRider occupies 100 gigs of server space we can handle the extra pictures.
Regards
Bill/KZQ

OK, I can't figure out how to upload an image from my computer. I found a thread titled "posting pics is easy" but those instructions made no sense to me.
When I click the "image" icon for a post, it asks for a URL. How do I work that to upload from my computer?
