Hi, All,
I recently purchased a 1983 KZ750 LTD Twin Belt Drive bike. It runs, though poorly, and needs some TLC. Did not have the belt and they are expensive. Found a good used one on eBay and will be putting it on once Houston is not 97 degrees and 90% humidity. Recovering seat, replacing many parts, rebuilding carbs (which seem to be BS34s), new tires, etc. Should be a fun bike. I am disappointed and the lack of parts compared to the Honda CBs, but hopefully can make do.

Quick Bio -  Got my first minibike in the early 70's. First street bike was a much neglected '73 Honda CB750K in the late 70s. Joined Air Force in 81 and got KZ750 and in '83 traded up the KZ1100 Vetter model. Kept until about 1990. Got out of AF and went into software world for last 30+ years and semi-retired. No bikes from 1990 until now, just car restoration and sports cars and some racing. Bought a dilapidated 1977 CB750K and am making into a brat most likely, though I may keep it original. Undecided. I built a homemade vapor/wet blaster that works fantastic and started a little retirement passion side business.

Welcome aboard. If that used belt does not work out, I have read that one of the Buell belts is nearly identical. It is also quite easy to convert to chain drive.
if you have lived around Harris county very long, you know that the weather you are waiting on will not arrive until late October or early November.

I just couldn't relax and enjoy with 40 year old rubber spinning my bike down the road...so I converted my 305 to chain and have never regretted it.
