Hello from west Michigan. was created by Penndenski
I've wanted a bike for years and finally pulled the trigger about 2 weeks ago. Found this 77 kz650 with 23k miles about 45 min away. Fired right up and everything works as far as I can tell. Kid had had done a number on her but was smart enough to at least keep all the original parts so I'm slowly putting her back together. Next project is reinstalling the original lights. I've only got the chance to get about 40 mile out on the road with her as I'm still getting insurance and registration taken care of but so far I love this bike.

Hello from eastern Michigan and welcome. Big transformation just in the second picture. The 650 is a solid bike. You will enjoy it. There is a lot of support here. Thanks for posting pictures.

Welcome aboard! Looks like you are making good progress.

P.S. If you are not 100% sure that the rear brake shoes are new, replace them as soon as you can. The glue that holds them together gets brittle with age, even if the bike is not being ridden. Having them suddenly come apart while you are riding, is not an experience you should desire.
