Hi,

I just picked up a '78 KZ1000, and I couldn't be happier—but I'm going to have a whole bunch of questions for everybody here, as this is my 1st Kaw (How it came to be that after riding for 30 years and having owned probably 20 bikes this is my 1st Kaw, I don't know) and it's in need of a little TLC.
Cheers,

Buzz

Welcome to the forum, the road from Coral Reef to Escalante is custom made for a 78 kz1000, the Mrs says it is custom made for a V-Star too.

How many trips did y'all take up there bluej48?

Oh, and welcome Buzz. If you do not yet own a genuine factory service manual, you can download one here -
www.kzrider.com/modules/ServiceManuals/K...Service%20Manual.pdf

If you do not already own some genuine JIS screwdrivers, you can get them at Z1E. They also sell non-magnetic tipped ones if you swing that way.

I get the Mel Tillis reference, stayed in Utah a couple times, rode the heck out of the Southern half east to west and north to Hanksville , Beautiful!
can't wait to get back.

No I'm just having trouble posting panoramic pics theses days and when I try to snip one and post it it becomes too big :S so I gave up...

I'll start a project thread for it shortly.
