I'm currently KZ-less at the time, but Kawasaki flows through my blood. My first new bike was a 1980 KZ1000 A4. I had it about 7 years before women started taking up more of my time and paying for them forced me to sell the bike. In the 33 years since I sold it, I did have a GPz 550 (waaaay too small) and an SR 650, which wasn't much better for a 6'2" man. A friend told me about a GPz 1100 sitting in a friend of his garage, but we could never connect enough to do anything about it. However, getting a bike again had started boiling over. There were no suitable Zs on eBay, but a 1982 GS 1100G turned up, so I bought it and got it running and road worthy. About a year later, a friend of mine that bought a 1982 Honda 900F offered to give it to me as it had been sitting in his garage for years. That needed more work than the Suzuki did. During that time, I had access to a Yamaha VMax. I wanted one of those since the mid 80s as well, so I bought it. It's a 1997. I really want to round out my "Big 4" with either a 79 or 80 KZ1000 (MKII body style) or an 82 GPz 1100. After owning the VMax for several years, it may go. It hurts my back to ride it for some reason. First pic is my 1000 shortly after I bought it. The yellow version is the same bike, but after a wreck.
Second, is as close of a representation I can get in scale model form. I did put the same license plate number on it. Then, all three of the gang. I think a red GPz would brighten up the group.
