Hello from Minnesota / iowa / Tahoe was created by BJkraabel
Hello I've owned a '80 KZ750 LTD and '78 KZ400 for 3 years now, they both been sitting the past 2 years. I'm rebuilding the 750 to be a adventure touring bike and to carry my mountain bike. The 400 I'm going to rebuild into a city cruiser for my dad to learn to ride and take to work.

I recently moved back to my dads as I moved to Tahoe a couple years ago but given the worlds current situation thought it'd be a good time to go home, spend time with him and the bikes. Originally from MN, my dad now lives in Iowa and I'll for sure be back in Tahoe this coming winter for sure. I'm a snowboard, ski, and mountain bike coach at Kirkwood and Northstar. Been working on bikes and trucks for 7 years now. I travel a lot out of my '86 Toyota 4Runner with mid travel and a pop up i built a few years ago.

I post a bit on insta and will be starting build thread for the pair here soon

Welcome a board! It looks like your Toyota gets to play hard.
Where in Minnesota did you live? A bunch of years ago I spent some time in Goodhue and Red Wing.

LOCALS!!! I'm "from" Red Wing, my dad raised there, his mom and brother are still in town and I go to visit them a lot for extended time. Love everything about the place! Great motorcycle routes, good mountain biking and skiing plus the river! If I were to move back to MN for some time, it'd be there or the north woods.

The 4Runner sees lots of playtime, planning on cramming in some bypasses when the capital problem works itself out. currently has 12" mid travel kit on the front and chevy 63s rear.

It is a pretty town, and prettier countryside, but there is too much southern in me to ever call it home.

Welcome. Long time member here, but have not been posting for years since I liquidated my KZs. I have a second home in Truckee, near Donner Lake. Let me know if you ever get tired of the KZ750. I miss mine something awful!

Petaluma and Truckee, CA -- member since Jan. 23, 2003;
PREVIOUS KZs: 1980 KZ750H with 108,000 miles; 1980 KZ750E with 28,000 miles; and KZ750H street/cafe project, all sold a few years back.

This is what I do for fun, not for work. It is art, with a little engineering thrown in.
