Hello everyone! was created by jjdkl
I've been looking at this site for a while and now have a 1978 KZ650. It runs well but needs a few things so I will be asking questions of all of the experts on this site. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to KZR JJ!
We need pics. Always need pics. Most folks want to see your bike and that's cool. Myself, I like pictures of the country side you ride through daily.

Howdy. For future reference it helps to put the motorcycle model in your signature. There were several 650s available in 1978, so if unsure exactly which one it is, you can either post a pic or check out the jarlef z650 site. yours should be a B, C or D (SR) model.

Thanks for the info Martin. I looked at the site and it appears that I may have a C2 based on the wheels and brakes. The guy I bought it from started to turn it into a street fighter so I do not have the original front or rear lights or exhaust and he repainted the tank. The plan is to get rid of that stuff and make it more presentable. I'll post a picture soon.

Welcome.
Sounds like you found yourself a C2 model.
The best of the 650s.
