Hello everyone. I recently (and swiftly) picked up a 82 KZ 440 LTD. Excited to start riding..although I gotta do some work on this thing first! Good thing forums such as this one exist!

Sweet AZ people! I’m up in Phoenix west valley. I haven’t been able to do much with it yet, I did clean out the carbs to get it started. It doesn’t hold compression in one cylinder and smoke/exhaust comes out of the breather hole in the top cover. so I’m taking the top end apart this weekend to swap gaskets and piston rings. Then I’d like to wrap the pipes and swap mufflers and take the wheel fairings off..perhaps new handlebars?
