Hello everyone I have used this site in the past to sort out issues I have had on my KZ. I recently pulled it out of the garage where is has rested for 12 years. I have a 1977 KZ650B1 engine although it states on the frame it is a C model. mine has the mag wheels and 4 into 1 exhaust. it has the B1 wiring with no hazard switch on the left control. I parked it 12 years ago because it just quit charging. I hope to figure it out within this site. It has the 3 phase charging system on it. I suspect it is the regulator or the rectifier that is bad. I will be searching and asking questions in the technical section of the forum. Thank you Troy

Welcome aboard. Have you run the charging system tests described in the Kawasaki Service Manual? Ed

Get a can of Deoxit-5 and clean "all" your wire connections starting with the ground wire to the engine.
Then start testing.
If you don't have a service manual you can find one that should help on the home page.
I would expect that the carbs need a good cleaning at this point too.

Good luck, JD
