picked up an 87 zl1000 recently, and was wondering if u had room for this distant relative and i here. my other bike is a 98 valkyrie, but lately i just enjoy tooling the 'little' red kawasaki around the most. there is something addictive to the velvet growl of that inline 4. this is one of the few remaining 'always wanted ' bikes for me. i have owned yamaha xj750, cb900f, v65 magna, fj1200, 2 98 gl1500c's and now my little red darling eliminator 1000.
i can't seem to get enough of getting on the gas on this gem. huge powerband in the top 3 gears. sometimes i forget to snick into top gear when i shut her down as she glides easily past the one ton mark.
i guess the z's where the mounts of the bad dudes in mad max. always wanted that sound in my bike.

Welcome Jeff...yeah, there are a few ZL's bumping around this site...just like there are a few ZR's. We are a pretty magnanimous group:)
