Hi all--

Well, I'm a total newbie, just bought a 1982 KZ440 as my first motorcycle. I'm still getting the feel for it, but so far it's a lot of fun! I'm glad I found this group--it's nice to know I'm not the only one riding one of these older bikes. And it's nice to know there are people I can ask about things as they come up.

Welcome to KZr clavius. And congrats on your "new to you" KZ!

There are quite a few members here who own either the KZ400 or KZ440. And most, if not all, will tell you that it's the perfect starter bike - fast enough to get you out on the highway, yet small enough to be easy to handle and not get you into (to much) trouble with the po-po.

Greetings Cl,

You're certain to find somebody, someplace around here that knows everything from absolutely nothing to as close as absolutely *everything* there is to know about your machine on here...

Just don't get...

...too close to... ...the animal cages!

(...there's critters lurking in the shadows just waiting to strike...)

Welcome! ;)
