just finally signed up. been lurking for awhile and getting some good advice as i'm working on my 81 kz 750. it was a barn nike and in the last couple weeks it's really transformed. i wish i had some before pics to show my progress, but i was in such a hurry to get started i hauled ass all weekend when i got it. still waiting on parts, but i took it out today for a run to the gas station and she sure flies! i'll post some pics of my current progress this week before i start paint and seat work. the whole bike should be done in less than two weeks. working two jobs doesn't leave me alot of time, but i make it. any other madison riders out there?

Hey Lunchbox, you'll be about the fifth member we have in Madison, and one of many in the surrounding area. Wisconsin appears to be a KZ haven. Welcome to the forum. We'll have to go for a ride! :D

Hey guys...I know "of you" Johnno, but I didn't know there were 5 ? KZ'ers in the area. Who are they? Goose is gone now (-1).
Anyway, welcome Mr Lunchbox. I'm just down the road in Oregon but work in Madison and ride to work often...I'm pushing 20 days this season so far. Glad your lurking days are over. This is a great resource for info and humor and advice and help with the ole iron. I look forward to your pictures. :)

U2U sent. :D

Theres a solid five members in the city of Madison, and a slew around it. I'd be more suprised that we haven't organized if it wasn't Madison that we were talking about. :D

any of you happen to live on east gorham with 2 red kzs? i see em everyday on my way to work, love em. well heres a few pics of the progress so far. i need to redo my seat. i just got the foam cut down. it's actaully spray painted foam right now, lol. i'm hoping to get the vinyl stitched up this week. then one of these days lay out a new fiberglass cafe rear cowl/seat, probably not til mid summer.

Welcome Lunchbox.

Id be willing to be that WI is one of the more KZ populated areas, at least as far as members here go. The more you look the more you find them also. I was just coming hoem from work the other day and found another KZ owner, my car mechanic.

You Madtown guys should make it out to Rockerbox again this year, Johnno knows the way
