To alla you Kawboys(and Kawgirls, too). Hoping you can help me out. I'm working on an '82 KZ440 for a friend, and I'm frankly outta my element.(my bikes all have things like ticklers, pushrods, and Amals!) I'm sure I'll have lotsa ?s, but the big one right now is:

Can anybody provide a part# and/or a source for a final drive belt? (Looks like it was a 131 tooth(?), from whats left of it).

Thanks in advance, and ride safe out there.

Thanks ltdrider. Useta ride dirt out near Palmdale, and tortured a few tires on 'the Crest' back in the '70s. Bet it's changed a little since then.

You wouldn't recognize Palmdale today. All built up and 'civilized'.
But there's still lots of open land in the Antelope Valley, and dirt riders are always welcome.

Welcome aboard, Sage.

There were no less than three 440 models in 1982 according to Buy Kawasaki.com , A3, D4, and G1. The A series has a chain and the other two a belt, apparently.
