Newbie Needs Some Help

So I recently bought an Old KZ 1000. Not sure on the exact year of the bike. I was wondering if anybody has a site suggestion that I can go to and possible find out the year of the bike by using the VIN #.

I also need some parts and some site suggestions to find these would be great.

I need a Starter Clutch Rebuild Kit, Flywheel, Gasket for starter clutch cover and bolts for the Starter clutch Cover area.

Any and all help will be appreciated

check in the links section under z1 enterprises jeff has a pretty good listing of what the frame numbers are.do you mean the aluminum cover for alternator or the sheetmetal cover that goes over the starter?nice looking bike!

The aluminum cover that goes over the starter clutch and the starter gear.

do you want kz or ltd style?

I was told the bike is a KZ1000, well now its a 1200

you can use either cover but you need the matching alternator.ive got an extra ltd cover and alternator if you want its the one that says kawasaki with the fins instead of dohc like kz style.
