New Rider, New Member.. was created by Cryph
Always wanted a bike, moved out here to Arizona from Louisiana and got my hands on a 83 KZ550F1 Spectre.. needs plenty of TLC, but runs well enough to get me to and from work!

Hoping to (slowly) learn how to give her the TLC she needs. I'm a computer guy, not very mechanically able :)

Loads of info here though, hi everyone.

Welcome to KZr Cryph. :)

You've got the right idea on taking it slow to begin with.
Following the great advice and tips from the knowledagble folks here, in no time at all you'll be able to complete a full engine rebuild blindfolded, in your sleep, and even drunk if so desired! :silly:

And of course like was mentioned, we're junkies for motorcycle pics, regardless of what condition the bike is in.
Plus you can reflect back on the current condition of your bike via pics and see what you've done to make her YOUR bike. ;)

Welcome aboard, Cryph.

Enjoy learning your bike. The smell of gas and oil and having grease under your fingernails is more addictive than the smoke those computer chips let out. :woohoo:

Did someone mention pics yet? :silly:

Welcome. Get yourself a manual if you haven't got one already. Follow the maintenace section, and check everything out. Not too difficult to do, and gets you familiar with your bike at the same time.
