Old member but feel like a new one... was created by Britcheflee
Hi,
I have not been on the forum for some time so should re-introduce myself.
I have a question: I have a very nice KZ650B 99% original and in great shape - I regret I have to sell it as I am really not using it - I was thinking of listing it on e bay but I dont know what is a fair price to ask for it - I was thinking in the region of $1200 - I have an extensive list of new parts I have put on the bike which shows 29117 (it was stored for 7 years in a garage and not used) do you think that is a reasonable price to ask for the bike? Anyone in the N Californian area interested in it? I can send pics and a list of all new parts and work done on the bike - someone more mechanically adept than me could go over it during the next few winter months (has a slight hesitation on take off I have not been able to cure) and have a sweet bike for the spring summer.

Lee

Re-welcome aboard, at lest you knew enough to post a pic right away.

As far as a price goes, I would wait until spring hits some more and then Im sure youd get at least $1200 for it, thats all I can help with though

Welcome back.

$1200 sounds reasonable for your bike. She looks in great shape.

I bought mine for $1000 in 1984, not running, and I wouldn't let her go for less than that now.

Thanks,
It feels like spring now in California!!!!
I think it is a nice bike - I just dont have much time to ride it - I bet I have not put more than 100 miles on it since I got it.

Welcome back, Lee.

That is a sharp 650 and will make someone a very nice ride. I don't think $1200 is at all out of line and may be a bit low for one that nice and original. That said, one just never knows what people will be willing to pay on a given day.

Nates vintage bike axiom: Riding is the reward for time spent wrenching.
Murphys corollary: Wrenching is the result of time spent riding.
