hey!
just signed up and saw your posts...
I'm definately interested in that back rest if you still have it.
I've got an 83 twin ltd belt drive too. just got a sidecar for it but I want to be able to put one grand-daughter in the sidecar and one on the back. bigger one needs to be in the sidecar (for safe balance) so I was hoping to find a backrest for behind the younger one. she rides great, I would just feel better, lol.
I've been looking around and it's so hard finding parts and info for this bike, but I'm really attached to it. haven't found a manual for it but I found one for the 80 and it's close. carbs are a bit different though.
anyway, post if you still have the backrest and I'll give you my email for the details.

spearx and jmdayton if you check ebay you can find the repair manual for your bikes on there I have a 82 KZ750-M1 CSR Twin and the only manual for it was a supplement but I think that there is an actual one for yours. Welcome to the site everyone here is a great help I was having trouble with mine and everybody chipped in and I finally got it fixed.

Okay, so this forum is OLD! hah, well i'm a new member and I just had a few questions about my bikes! I got a 82 750 k1 in decent condition, but i also just purchased a non working m1 of the same year. Will i be able to change the most parts? like carbs? Also, they both have faulty starter mechanisms. can't get power to the starter thru the button. any thoughts of how i could fix this? Thanks

Hello All,

I read through this thread hoping to find an answer for what the belt tension needs to be. Has anyone found this information previously?

Also, a note to all the Fram filter doesnt come with the right sized gaskets. They are too big so go with another brand. Hope that helps someone new to the 1983 Kz750 k1 like me.
