Hey, My dad owned a 1980 Z1-R, wrecked twice bad!!!
Fixed it gave it to my older brother who just had a sixteen year old girl pull out in front of him, But this time the kaw wouldn't come back the same. My bro had the engine beefed up abit. The thing is a rocket!
After ringing up so debt I wanted another bike, and went for the family tradition. 1979 KZ1000 LTD, not the best of the breed but Im workin on that. From the photo you can see alot of the mods(I like a clean look), as of now it is in pieces. Just got the frame back from line-x (looks nice!) Painted the engine satin black, and sent certain parts for a nice powder coat. During the rebuild Im adding a few mods as well, I guess Im goin for the short street-fighter look. This site rocks, I've gotten so much info from reading others post, it has helped me greatly, any ?'s just ask.

Welcome to the site! Your bike looks great, try and post a few larger pictures later. We need pics all the time. When you can, add your year and model into your signature.

Welcome from another noob to the website. Looks great and I a like the clean look. Also agree with post some bigger pics! How do you like the Mac pipe? I have been looking and really wanted to put a Kerker on mine but with limited project funds will probably go with a Vance and Hines or Mac.

These are Mac pipes. Installed in '89 ??? They are the ceramic coated ones, not a big fan of chrome... they still look brand new. I would buy them again in a second!!!

Welcome. Ditto on the pics! They will eat you alive if you don't post pics!

That looks really sweet. I am definetly a fan of black over the chrome. But then again it all depends on what the rest of the bike ends up becoming.

Thanks for the whats up. Put two large pics in the gallery. Before and after, and soon a finished photo.
The pipes on mine are kerker, just minus the badge on the megaphone.
