i know how much fun it is to look at old kaws so i was happy to make my contribution, as far as modifications i am pretty motorcycle ignorant so i just want to keep it stock and try to make it look as new as i can, first i need to clean up the engine-any suggestions?

Looks like you have the stock airbox, so you can take a hose to it...just refrain from directly blasting stuff that looks like it has a seal of some sort. If there is some *guck* a "simple green" solution always worked for me. If there is some sticky stuff that is resistant to the simple green you can take carb cleaner to a rag and use the rag on the parts...be careful with the painted parts...when useing the carb cleaner make sure to chase it with water real quickly after the application. Don't use Castrol purple cleaner on anything aluminum...it causes instant oxidation if you let it dry.

After it's all cleaned up, start it and let the motor get good and warm and then shut it off and hit the motor with some WD40 and it'll make the motor shine.

This is a pretty expediant way to get a good cleaning done without getting into the 'super geek cleaning' stuff that some of us...er...er some of 'them' get into. :)

BTW: Nice ride...more pics!:)
