Hi,
I just purchased a '77?? kz650, paid $650 has 36k miles or 136k?? I don't know much(nothing) about motorcycles. The bike looks pretty good starts right up. Wondering about a shop manual any good ones out there? I also need a r-side plate- any good vintag parts people out there?

Thanks for any help,

Jim

Welcome to KZR! The 650 is a great bike. There are a lot of people here that can answer any questions you might have. Ebay would be a good place to search for manuals and a side cover.

Welcome. Nice looking 650. Looks to be a '77 C1. B)

Ebay, Z1 Enterprises, and here in the classifides are some sources for parts. As well as in the Links area, there are other suppliers.

The best manual you can get is a factory service manual (which can usually be found on ebay). A Clymer's manual has most of all the info you'll need, but the FSM has it all. Also, there's another forum dedicated to the kz650 over at www.kz650.info . A lot of great people here and over there (some on both like me). Welcome aboard and nice looking ride!!

Welcome 2 da Zone Mr. Donut! Are you a cop?
BTW...My guess is that your bike is 36K miles, not 136K. It looks too good of condition to be over 36K. I have a '79 SR 650. They're great bikes and will go 136K if you take care of it. One guy on this site has over 160K on his 650, so we know thay are good bikes.
