Greetings all. I've been reading here a couple of months, but this is my first post.

First off, any KZ or Z1 riders in the Boise area? I'm trying to find someone who will work on my 1975 Z1B. The Kawasaki shop says it won't work on bikes that old, and we have only one Kawa shop, so I'm looking for a recommend.

My Z1 sat for 3-4 years, and I'm trying to get it running. Cleaned out the tank and carbs, but it's still not smooth across the entire power band, particularly 3,000 RPM in lower gears. Does smooth out at higher rpms. I have not sought advice in the carb forum yet, preferring to be sure I understand the problem well so I can describe it. It's still a bit variable.

Bike ran GREAT when it was parked, so am focusing on fuel related issues for now. I'll try to fix it my self, but might need a mechanic who has the carb sync gauges, etc, that I don't.

Thanks. Great website.

Thanks wireman. Glad to be here, appreciate the offer, and if I get desperate, might consider it.

Didn't know they had armadillos in NE.

I missed you by about 2 years. I moved back up north to Post Falls in 2005. I lived in Nampa for abour 4 years and got tired of the heat. :P There is a member or two from down there but I'm not sure if they get on anymore. If they see your post I'm sure they will chime in. Also you could try Suicycle in Nampa. They love the old Kaws.

Well that sucks. The guy that owns it has a son that works there that is a pretty good kz mechanic. Maybe you can sneek in and talk to him while the old man is out getting lunch. lol
