I just joined the group today.

I have only owned one Kawasaki. It was a Vulcan 1500. I never had any complaints about it other than I thought it vibrated to much for a counter balanced engine.

I am looking at a 1978 KZ 1000, and thought it would be a good idea to do some research on here first.

Hey Earl, welcome to KZR. We need more New Englanders here.
You should like a KZ 1000, plenty of power and should vibrate less than your Vulcan. I like having the option to ride both an old KZ and a newer cruiser. Some of the purists here look down their noses at Japanese cruisers, but the bottom line is that it's got two wheels, and it's a Kaw, in my humble opinion...

If you get the KZ, you will have to post photos of it here, that's the rules!

Welcome earlfo,
Where in CT? I lived there all my life until relocating to Oklahoma 8 years ago. Are the drivers still rude?
