hey guys i just bought a 1980 kz550ltd today. bike runs well, just looks like it needs a bit of tlc to it. i was just looking for some ideas or advice as far as doing some work to it. and where would be a good place to look for parts, oem and after market. some of the stuff i am looking to do is get a new handlebars, ones that are a bit wider i guess. and i need a new seat cover for it as well. any advice would be greatly appreciated and if there are any fun simple performance upgrades or such that i could do i am open for that too. thanks i am really looking forward to this bike.

Welcome to KZr cphillips83. :)

If you scroll down while on any page of the site, you'll see under the Site Functions listing on the right titled Links .
Click on that, and then click on Parts.
You'll find a huge list of suppliers for just about anthing you can think of.
The most popular all around site listed is Z1 Enterprises.com , which is owned and operated by Jeff Saunders, who is also a KZr member.
If he doesnt have or can't get what you need, IMHO it simply doesn't exist. ;)
