Hi all.

I've been popping in and out of this site for 6+ months and haven't said a proper hello yet... how rude.

How did I get here? I inherited (for $400) a project gone wrong - a 1977 KZ650B1. It was found slowing decomposing in a local shed by a scooter guy I know who decided he needed a proper road bike. Well, he got it home, started tinkering and decided that multi-cylinder bikes were not his cup of tea.

I decided when I got it to turn it into a psuedo-cafe bike... low bars, pod filters, etc. Since then it's been an ongoing labor of sorting out the bugs and mistakes of the earlier owner while trying to turn it into something a little more my taste. Here's a few pics: the first is early on, you can see I had the tail section back on after paint and the rest... well, was still in progress.

The second shot is from this fall after she was running.

During the winter I tracked down tank badges and collected a host of parts to hopefully improve her performance and handling.

I've appreciated the help I've received from other owners/enthusiasts on this site, and look forward to getting more work done for spring and sharing the results!

P.S. - my images failed to load, too large it seems... I'll try again shortly. Sorry all!
