No, and you're a godsend- SMB has become AWOL! I hope he's out enjoying some unseasonably-warm weather like we've gotten here recently; in any case, he's been detained. Your attendance is much appreciated! I was about to pull the trigger on a seat from an H ('83 750-4 LTD), in the off chance it would work.

PM me with some pics, if you can, and the year/model of the bike from which the seat comes (if you know)- not that the latter matters at this point, just for my own curiosity- and your payment terms.

THANK YOU!!!

KAWASAKI KZ750 SEAT KZ 750 1983 TWIN KZ750K
The seller says it's from a 750K Twin, so it should fit the CSR.

Kawasaki KZ750M CSR Seat Cover KZ 750 1982 (W/E)
There may be other seat covers available on eebbaayy.
B&H Specialties & Saddlemen are a couple of places to check. Or maybe Z1Enterprises.com.

Interesting that you found that; I've had "KZ750 seat" on autosearch for months now, and for whatever reason that didn't come up! I did note, however, that in the ad it listed a '77 Z650B as the only model it will fit, and I got "This part is not compatible with 1982 Kawasaki 750 CSR KZ750M" when I put that Y/M/M in. Still, a decent looking seat with a not-unrepairable tear- wouldn't even bother with a recover for something that small. I'm going to ask the seller for a pic of the underside; $95 is a little steep for me, but worth it to have done.

I've been through the 750 twins at CMS, and the only rig truly compatible with the M is the equally short-lived K. I know that the Bs will not work; their aft frame is flat, where the K and M are stepped like the later H and N model 4-cylinders, albeit with mounting hardware in differing locations. Why, oh why did they have to muck about so much, and then name everything the bloody same?!

Thanks to both of you for your assistance!

That seat is not for a 650B. There's a photo of the underside. I'm not that familiar with the Twins, but the shape, seat latch & hinges look correct. He has a bunch of parts for the 750K, so the listing is probably correct.

However, the cover pattern looks kinda like a 750 Spectre --- not sure if any Twins had that or not. Maybe the Twin seat was recovered or someone installed a non-stock seat. 30-yrs later, who knows?
Here's a Spectre seat: the underside is different from the one listed for the 750K, so maybe the Twin seat is correct. ??? 1983 Kawasaki KZ750 KZ 750 Spectre K441' seat saddle .

The $95 includes shipping & It says make offer.
As a side note, with a little luck maybe there's an owners manual hidden in the document case. :)

Well, I did look at the undersides- I hadn't noted there were more pictures beyond the five that showed below the main pic, so I scrolled over. The two are virtually identical, but not absolutely identical. I also noted the part numbers for the safety checklist sticker are different, and I know MrMonkeyClaw is absolutely top-notch when it comes to identifying the sources of his parts, so I believe him when he says that seat comes from a Spectre.

I made an offer on the Twin seat, we'll see what happens. BTChalice, I may still be interested, if you can post pics of your seat to my PM, and what you're asking.

Thanks, all!

A HUGE thank you goes out to Martin_CSR for finding that K seat- it arrived today, and dropped right into place! WOO HOO! I'll have to get a latch and prop rod, as the PO removed them with the old seat, and also a grab bar for my wife, but apart from that, it's ON!
Thanks also to all who assisted my search, much appreciated. It's good to know I can get what I need here, and hope to give back sometime!

Sadly, no, but they pop up occasionally online. I can also find a PDF of it and print it out, but it's not quite the same.

Interestingly, the seat is a perfect fit, but the latch loop ("bale" some sites call it) is offset from the mount for the latch, it's a little further forward than the mount. Not sure if this is how it's supposed to be, I'll have to find a latch and fit it before I know if I have to move the loop to match the latch or not.
